KONVENSYEN PENULISAN NOVEL & MASTERCLASS K-PHENOMENON: HOW KOREA CAPTIVATED THE WORLD
1. KONVENSYEN PENULISAN NOVEL 2026
Sehari bersama penulis dan penggiat industri membincangkan masa depan novel, AI, penerbitan, adaptasi dan pembangunan Harta Intelek (Intellectual Property - IP).
2. MASTERCLASS - K PHENOMENON: HOW KOREA CAPTIVATED THE WORLD

K PHENOMENON: HOW KOREA CAPTIVATED THE WORLD
A Masterclass with Dr. Kenny Bae Kihyung
25 September 2026 | 9.00AM – 12.00PM
Studio F Karangkraf, Shah Alam
Korea did not capture the world by making its stories less Korean. It did the opposite.
From drama and film to music, webtoon and entertainment, Korean content has shown that stories deeply rooted in local culture can connect with millions of people across languages and borders.
So, what can Malaysia learn from Korea, without simply copying Korea?
K Phenomenon: How Korea Captivated the World is a masterclass exploring the thinking behind Korea’s global content success — and how Malaysia can use its own stories, cultures and creative strengths to reach wider audiences.
What You’ll Explore
- Why Korean content connects with global audiences
- Local specificity and universal emotion
- Designing emotion and building audience connection
- How audiences become fandoms
- Building an ecosystem beyond a single hit
- Taking culturally rooted content to international audiences
- Malaysia’s multicultural and multilingual identity as a creative advantage
- Co-production, IP development and international partnerships
- Interactive Exercise: From Local Story to Global Pitch
- Bring a Malaysian story, idea or cultural experience and explore how it could be positioned for a wider audience.
The goal is not to make Malaysian content more Korean. It is to discover what is uniquely Malaysian, and why the world might care about it.
Meet Dr. Kenny Bae Kihyung
